So why choose me as your Doula?
I'm passionate about all things childbirth! I have many years of midwifery experience, have worked within many high profile research studies, and am a trained Doula. I therefore bring a unique understanding of the birth process and health systems am up to date with the latest evidence-based research.
My background and passion is providing unbiased information to enable you to make your own decision regarding how you wish to birth your baby, and to be by your side to provide support for those choices throughout. I have experience in all areas of midwifery and have attended many beautiful home births.

As I am no longer registered as a midwife I am looking forward to the opportunity to truly get to know and support women, partners and birthing people in the role of Doula.

My Story
I started my training as a midwife aged 40 with 4 young children. Once qualified I worked in an obstetric unit and then progressed to a midwifery led unit and then to working within the community. So I have a lot of experience in all areas of midwifery. However, midwifery never offered me the opportunity to really get to know birthing people and their families and offer them the continuity they deserved. So I changed direction and worked at Oxford University to pursue a career in research. Having completed a Doula training course with Birth Bliss Doulas, I now feel that this is the right time to find that continuity I have long been seeking. I would love to join you on this most exciting journey into parenthood.
