There seems to be a rising number of women with uncomplicated pregnancies being told that they need to be induced as they are overdue.
Don't get me wrong, some inductions are absolutely recommended if there is a real risk to mum or baby, but don't make these decisions without the knowledge of what an induction of labour can involve.
It is not a quick, easy fix to meet you baby. Remember we are all individuals and one size doesn't fit all. An estimated due date is just that - estimated - but this is the date from which your induction of labour will be booked.
If you want to find out more, book one of my sessions and we can give you a balanced view of your choices and to expect.
